As the first-time parents, we wish that we can give the best for our little princess Gabby but somehow life is not easy as you’ve to wish or dream of. A lot of schools here in Dubai can offer good learnings for your child but with our experience with PLP since last year, our little princess Gabby shows excellent changes that surprise us, she learns to make the first step to reading like CVC and even improved her writing, what I like also with PLP is the values that they are teaching. Gabby learns to interact and make friends, to listen, to be brave, and when I am about to pick her up, I can see that she is enjoying a lot and always talking about her friends, classmate, and all her titas. The happiness of our child will always be the most important for us...PLP is a perfect choice for a good budget and they are offering good teaching for kids and even for safety at this pandemic time......

One of the major decisions Eric and I have made last year was to bring our Shanty here. Dubai is an expensive place to live in, a true reflection of the adage “you get what you paid for “ —literally. In the Philippines, the majority of overseas Filipino parents can send their kids to the best schools, therapies, and after-school activities at a fraction of the cost. However, our ultimate goal is to live under one roof and be complete someday with our little Andrew by our side, hence we have to shell out a little bit more. The first thing that crossed my mind during that time was to whom shall I entrust her or at which place she could stay after school since both of us are working. I was doing intensive research day by day for a conventional “habilinan”, posting on social media but none of the options suit my requirements plus the fact that most of the kid centers here charge exorbitant amounts, almost equivalent to her annual school fee. I had to put emphasis on these factors: close proximity to our area, PLAYMATES(it should have kids the same age as her or if not possible at least with the same gender). It took us months to discover this haven through a referral from a colleague and we didn’t regret it from day one. The good thing about my Little House is, it is not the typical kids center wherein kids will only watch and play with gadgets the entire day. it’s more of home-based learning, with lots of interaction, fun, and play plus the children have the opportunity to visit key places in Dubai. I’m pleased to see that Shanty has developed a sense of responsibility and exceptionally good now in taking care of the little ones. True to its word, My Little House is the only budget-friendly daycare I know in Dubai that offers the best service in terms of child-rearing and holistic learning. --- with Eric Romeo
